Spirituality – Experiencing God Each and Every Day Like Nano Nagle
“We are not human being having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin)
Spirituality is not some rare phenomenon, solely the concern of the cloister or monastery, as may have been thought in the past. It is the concern of everyone. Spirituality centres on how one connects with the Divine. It is core to each individual who is immersed and engaged with the everyday experience and task of living. It is a life lived with intention, attention, in relationship with oneself, others, the world and God.
Christian Spirituality is focussed on the quest for God, attentiveness to the Holy Spirit and openness to the person of Jesus Christ. This attentive listening leads one to a gospel–oriented spirituality. It leads a person to transformative action for the world. Such was the spirituality of Nano Nagle.
